The ABE-to-College Transition Project just launched a new website called
College for Adults (
www.collegeforadults.org ). The site guides adults through the whole
college process - applying to school, taking college placements tests,
setting career and educational goals, picking majors, etc.
It is an excellent resource for individual students as well as adult
secondary classroom activities.
Feel free to pass this on to your local teachers

I just talked with Sandra Robinson, Vermont State Director, about her
upcoming retirement July 31st. Sandra is one of the senior members of
the state director ranks and has made more contributions to our
profession and to her colleagues than we can begin to count. Listening
to the peace in her voice as she talked about post-bureaucratic
activities is uplifting.
Sandra mentioned that her soon-to-be former job will be up for grabs and
you can apply online at Vermont State Personnel. Please distribute this
notice to those who might want to live in paradise.
Our best wishes, sincere thanks, and deep envy go to Sandra.
