HHS announces applications to provide comprehensive child
development services to very young children from low-income families, as well as
services to help families achieve self-sufficiency (Federal Register,
March 14). Eligible applicants
include local public and private non-profit and for-profit organizations.
Deadline is May 13. Call

Projects
With Industry--States are Eligible
DOE announces applications for partnership projects with
industry to create and expand job and career opportunities for individuals with
disabilities in the competitive labor market (Federal Register, March
15). One option is to demonstrate
how literacy services can assist participants with low literacy levels to obtain
higher earnings in competitive employment.
Deadline May 31. Eligible
applicants include employers, nonprofit agencies and organizations, designated
state agencies, labor unions, community rehabilitation program providers, trade
associations, American Indian tribes and other agencies.
