Coaching Consultants As a new state director or any director facing a critical need or challenge in your state, you may be facing a number of substantive issues. Whether you came up through the adult education ranks or from another agency, some of the major job functions or state systems may be foreign to your experience. You may benefit from one-on-one experienced consultation to put all the pieces together. NAEPDC has enlisted the support of retired or former experienced state directors to provide fee-based services to assist with more in-depth program implementation and/or improvement issues. These coaching consultants can assist you in: (1) conducting a thorough performance task analysis of your adult education system, (2) identify alternatives developed by other states, (3) realigning your program operations, (4) developing policy guidance, or (5) developing recommendations for system-wide needs assessments, program improvement initiatives, evaluation and monitoring procedures, Federal compliance issues, or state plan development. Technical assistance is provided via on-site visits, email, telephone, and written correspondence. NAEPDC will assist in matching your specific needs to the most appropriate coaching consultant. You will then contract through NAEPDC for the consultant's services or with the coaching consultant directly.
